CUSP is defined as a point of transition between two different states.

This exhibition brings together the work of six creatives who have each reflected on, and responded to, the theme of CUSP, exploring a transitory period that has meaning for each one of them.  This could be an imagined event, a lived experience or a personal and ongoing transition.

While photography is the common medium to communicate our stories, each CUSP is uniquely told by the artists’ own approach and interpretation of the subject and treatment of the medium.

CUSP is the work of six multi-disciplinary artists; Elizabeth Blaxland, Clarissa Chawner, Av De Vries, Liz Hurley, Janaya Ritch and Nicola Ward.  It is their major project for the University of Newcastle CIND3003 course.

CUSP will be exhibiting with additional works at 33 Beresford Lane, Newcastle West from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 December 2021.  Opening night is Friday 3 December at 6pm.
