For CUSP I am exploring the transition into ageing, how we feel mentally compared to the realities of the physical body. Through traditional and social media, art and advertising, how women's bodies look and what they're capable of often serve as the yardstick of our success. I am now at a period of my life where although mentally stronger, my physical presence is diminishing. The skin is looser, my body often aches, and I can no longer have children. This series acknowledges how I feel right now; simultaneously present, capable and strong but also fading into the background.

'Time is a Slippery Beast', is based on a call out to social media contacts asking for a word or short statement in response to the question 'How do you feel about ageing'. The messages I received were frank and heartfelt, but above all positive.

You Saw Me, Now You Don't, is a series of self-portraits which seeks to reflect the feeling of being overlooked and a sense of invisibility that especially women seem to have as they age.
